🌍 Why We Left Everything Behind to Live the VIBE Life
Can you travel the world with your family?
We’re not the first family to crave something different — but we finally listened to that longing in our bones, and decided to answer it.
We’re Isaac and Liz. Two Michiganders who spent years building a life that looked right on paper: careers in real estate and property investment, a blended family we deeply love, a cozy home, and all the markings of the American Dream.
But beneath the surface, something felt off.

đź’” The Breaking Point
We started noticing it in the small moments.
The rushed breakfasts.
The glazed-over eyes from too much screen time.
The ache of watching our girls grow up in a world that felt more disconnected than ever.
There was the stress. The grind.
The gut-wrenching reality of school shootings in our community.
The constant pressure to “keep up” while scraping to get by.
We were doing everything right, but it didn’t feel right.
And then the world got louder. More chaotic. More divided.
And we couldn’t ignore it anymore
✨ The Dream That Wouldn’t Let Go
We had talked about it for years — traveling as a family, homeschooling our girls, living with more intention and joy.
We dreamed of a slower life, with better food, more connection, and sun-warmed mornings that didn’t begin with a school bell. We wanted to cook real food, explore the world, and give our daughters a different kind of education — one led by curiosity, not just curriculum.
We wanted to live the kind of life where we could breathe again.
đź’ˇ The Name That Chose Us
When we finally said yes to this dream, the name came easily:
VIBE — an acronym of the names we each bring to our marriage.
But even more beautifully, both of our daughters’ names share the VIBE initials too.
It was meant to be.
VIBE isn’t just our name — it’s our intention.
To live vibrantly.
To find the beauty in everyday moments.
To raise our children in a way that honors their bodies, their minds, and their spirits.
🌱 Why Worldschooling?
We’re not teachers by trade, but we are lifelong learners — and passionate parents.
Worldschooling is the heartbeat of our new lifestyle.
It means learning through the world, not just about it.
It’s not just homeschooling in a new location.
It’s learning geography by walking ancient cobblestone streets,
learning history by standing in the middle of it,
and learning compassion by meeting people who live differently than we do.
It’s family-led. Child-honoring. Flexible. Expansive.
And no — it’s not always picture-perfect, and it’s definitely not a vacation.
But it’s real, and it’s rich, and it’s ours.
🗺️ Our Plan: One Year of VIBE
We’re starting in Canada this summer — caring for animals and exploring the beauty of the north.
In the fall, we’ll head to Mexico — immersing in vibrant culture and deeply nourishing food as we support our youngest daughter’s gut healing journey.
In February, we’ll fly to Europe, where we’ll slow travel through places we’ve only ever dreamed about.
We’re giving it one year.
One year to undo the hustle.
One year to truly see our children.
One year to live our values, on purpose.
And maybe… just maybe… we won’t want to go back.
💛 Why We’re Sharing This
We know we’re not alone.
So many families feel the pull toward something simpler, slower, and more aligned.
But it’s scary to leap.
We hope this blog gives you a window into what it really looks like to choose a different path — as parents, as partners, and as people just trying to live with more soul.
You’ll find tips here for budgeting, worldschooling, and remote income — but more than anything, we hope you find permission.
Permission to question the way things have always been.
Permission to choose joy.
Permission to live a life that’s bold, brave, and full of VIBE.
